Programme Speakers

Fusion Energy means almost unlimited energy, no CO2 emission, low cost fuel and intrinsically safe.

In 1999 the Association of EURATOM and the Hellenic Republic was founded, constituting a partnership  of Greek Universities and Research Centers  and operating under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation. The Hellenic Association collaborates via the European consortium EUROfusion with all the other European Associations towards the global endeavor for clean, safe and abundant energy through fusion.

 In the workshop

  • EU officials will outline the European strategy towards fusion energy.
  • The EUROfusion Programme manager will present the European roadmap to the realization of fusion energy.
  • The Scientific Responsible of the Hellenic Fusion Programme will give an overview of the Programme.
  • The Greek teams will present highlights of their contribution to the European effort.
  • The Greek scientists working abroad in the field of fusion energy will provide their insights.

A round table discussion will bring forward the main challenges we face towards the goal of fusion energy realization.
