2nd Maritime Security Conference

“Threats to Maritime Trade and Maritime Infrastructure”

The Foreign Affairs Institute (FAINST, www.fainst.eu), and the Council for International Relations–Greece (CfIR-GR, www.cfir.gr )—founded in 2018 by 60 academics from all International Relations Departments in the countr in callaboration with School of Maritime and Industrial Studies and the Mackinder Forum will convene the international 2nd Maritime Security Conference titled: “Threats to Maritime Trade and Maritime Infrastructure.”

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the EUGENIDES Foundation, Athens, GREECE.

The primary goal of the conference is to establish a high-level forum for the exchange of academic, operational, and institutional perspectives, ideas, and best practices related to Maritime Security, which—given both the magnitude of Greek shipping as well as the country’s maritime environment—serves as a pivotal factor in Greece’s international standing.
