The pandemic has tested the quality and strength of the relationship between the Chair and the CEO and more broadly between the Board and the members of the Executives leadership team like never before. The threats to sustainability, the high volume of issues Boards and their executives have had to deal with and the very different ways in which they have had to work together over the last year have placed extraordinary pressure on these vital relationships. In this highly participative session we will focus on three aspects of the Chair and the CEO and the Board and the Executive relationship.
The session is lead by Patrick Dunne, a highly experienced Chair with a wealth of experience from the industrial, private equity and social enterprise sectors. He is also a Visiting Professor at Cranfield School of management, the author of the award-winning book "Boards" and the recognized authority on governance matters. He currently Chairs Boardelta, the EY Foundation and ESSA - Education Sub Saharan Africa and is a Trustee of the Chartered Management Institute.
