DesignThinkers Greece Think like a Business Designer Becoming digital is no longer a choice. Most organizations and companies have realized they have to transform if they want to keep attracting younger clients and create a competitive service for their consumers. This realization changed what we used to know about business: Now, designers have to understand business, and businessmen have to understand design. In our 1-day interactive workshop, we will merge the two using Design Thinking.
What will you learn?
You will use the principles of design thinking, a problem-solving methodology that gave a competitive advantage to companies such as IBM, Philips, KLM, and many others. You will learn what it means to create a common language between different disciplines, working in teams, in a collaborative workshop environment. You don’t need any prior knowledge to participate in this workshop, just keep your mind open and collaborative!
What will you do?
Participants will form teams, and they will be assigned different roles. Each team will select an initial brief and work its way through understanding, exploring and defining a new business, in order to pitch an original service scenario at the end of the day. DesignThinkers Greece will fully guide you throughout this process.
For participants with a business background:
You will learn tools to approach human-centered design. Understanding customers’ or end-user’s needs is nowadays a crucial skill, not only to designers or researchers, but also to managers, marketeers and business analysts.
For participants with a design background:
You will design for digital experiences, empathizing with the users. Understanding the “business” language is essential in designing, as your concept design will also have to make money.

Dimitrios Mallios, Sofia Ntoulou, Natalia Papadopoulou and Alexandros Mileounis are multi-disciplinary design engineers providing services such as design research, context mapping, co-design workshops, conceptualization, UX, UI, dealing with a broad spectrum of what we call the “fuzzy-front end”.
All of our workshops combine design thinking and creative facilitation with a learning-by-doing approach, aiming to get all stakeholders around the table to solve problems creatively.
