The Assessment and Resource Centres of Ontario (ARC’s: RARC and NOARC) are very excited to bring you another High Incidence Disabilities Conference at the newly renovated Marriott Courtyard hotel in downtown Toronto. The two day event (March 30 and 31 2017) will include several well respected and prominent keynote speakers in the fields of mental health, learning disabilities, and ADHD as well as breakout workshops from other field experts. The conference will highlight relevant issues related to transitioning to, and life in post-secondary institutions, for students with disabilities. This conference will include a special focus on mental health.
The ARC’s welcome proposals for breakout workshop sessions (45 min-1.5 hours in length) on topics relevant to individuals with disabilities transitioning to or who are currently in post-secondary education. The committee is keenly interested in receiving proposals aimed at remediation, accommodation, and treatment of mental health as well as neurodevelopmental disorders. Submissions on policy and human rights will also be considered.
