Ice Rink on the Canal

The SNFCC Ice Rink is back!

December 1st marks the comeback of the Ice Rink at the SNFCC Canal, and aspiring figure skaters will once again practice on the ice against the sounds of beloved Christmas songs, while beginners have the opportunity to learn in a fairytale-like setting.

Situated by the north bank of the Canal, the Ice Rink provides lovers of this winter sport the chance to enjoy a magnificent insider’s view of the Dancing Fountains.

The Ice Rink operates daily, from 10:00 to 22:00, weather permitting.

01/12/2024-07/01/2025, 10.00-22.00

On 13/12, 20/12 and 3/1, the ice rink will be closed between 17:40-20:00, with the last afternoon entrance at 17:00

For adults and kids aged 5+

Free admission on a first-come first-served basis

Pre-registration is required for the following periods:

From 1 until 22/12

Friday: 15:00-22:00

Saturday and Sunday 10:00-22:00

From 23/12 until 7/1

Daily, 10:00-22:00

Ice Rink Terms of use 

Preregistration:

Preregistration starts on Tuesday 26/11 at 12.00 for 01/12.


For the rest of the time, pre-registration starts every Tuesday at 12:00.

  • For the period 6/12-8/12 pre-registration starts on Tuesday 3/12.
  • For the period 13/12-15/12 pre-registration starts on Tuesday 10/12.
  • For the period 20/12-26/12 pre-registration starts on Tuesday 17/12.
  • For the period 27/12-2/1 pre-registration starts on Tuesday 24/12.
  • For the period 3/1-7/1 pre-registration starts on Tuesday 31/12.

Participation information:

  • Admission to the ice rink is free for the public.
  • It is advised that you bring an extra set of clothes
  • In order for your reservation to be valid, you must check in at the venue at least 20' earlier, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled.
  • On the occasion that the ice rink remains closed due to the weather conditions, your reservation is automatically canceled.
  • The maximum length of stay on the Ice Rink track is 40'.
  • If you arrive without prior electronic pre-registration, your entry to the Ice Rink will only be possible if there is availability.

Clothes and equipment:

  • Pairs of ice skates are provided at the Ice Rink.
  • Skating helmets are mandatory for children. It is recommended to bring your own. Otherwise, helmets in children's sizes are available for loan. Their use is also strongly recommended by adolescents and adults.
  • It is recommended that you bring gloves. Gloves are not available for loan.
  • It is recommended that you bring a dry set of clothes and a dry pair of socks.

Participation of minors:

  • The use of the Ice Rink by minors between the ages of 5 and 15 is possible provided that they are accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult chaperone and there is consent through electronic pre-registration or upon arrival at the Ice Rink.
  • The use of the Ice Rink by a minor over the age of 16 is possible provided that the relevant written consent has been provided either by the parent/guardian during the online booking or upon arrival at the Ice Rink.
  • In the case of school trips, written consent is provided by the accompanying teacher.
