Zούμε στα όρια του αγνώστου;
Σε μια παγκόσμια πραγματικότητα που χαρακτηρίζεται από πολιτική, οικονομική, ακόμα και κοινωνική αστάθεια, συναίσθημα και προσωπική άποψη φαίνεται να επηρεάζουν περισσότερο στην διαμόρφωση της κοινής γνώμης, από τα αντικειμενικά δεδομένα. Απομακρυνόμαστε, άραγε, όλο και περισσότερο από αυτό που κάποτε θεωρούσαμε ως μέσο ή στεκόμαστε μπροστά σε μια νέα αφετηρία;
Με την παραδοχή ότι τα παραπάνω σενάρια είναι εξίσου πιθανά, προσδοκία και πραγματικότητα συμβαδίζουν καθώς μπαίνουμε σε μια νέα τροχιά για την ανθρωπότητα. Είμαστε έτοιμοι να αποδεχτούμε την πρόκληση;
Το Μάιο το TEDxAthens σας προσκαλεί να εξερευνήσετε τα όρια.
Do we live on the edge of the unknown?
In a global reality characterized by uncertainty in politics, economy, even society itself, emotion and personal belief seem to be more influential in shaping public opinion than objective facts. Are we heading further and further away from what was once perceived the middle or are we in the forefront of a brand-new beginning?
While economy turns introvert, the rising of wellbeing expands our understanding on human nature. Where science & technology never stop triggering the imagination, re-emerging beliefs challenge our perception. When exploring new planets, we struggle with sustaining our own.
On the hypothesis that all scenarios are equally sound and possible, hope and truth are dancing together as we enter a new frontier for humanity. Can we follow the steps?
In May 2017 TEDxAthens invites you to explore the edge.
TedxAthens is evolving into a contemporary and international multi-conference of ideas, culture and technology. Following the trend of leading global events of similar content and caliber, this year part of the program will simultaneously happen on two stages and specially designed conference rooms inside the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
This years' multi-level program includes talks, workshops, conversations, presentations and Q&A sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a different and more interactive TedxAthens, all the while enjoying unique moments in one of Greece's most beautiful spaces.
Aiming always to create a more accessible TEDxAthens Conference and content, for the first time this year all Talks of the Main Stage will be translated live in the Greek Sign language.
Your TedxAthens admission ticket grants you access to an enriched program of various content. Although it allows you to watch all talks and participate in all parallel activities and workshops, it does not guarantee availabitity of seats at all times, at your preferred stage. The total number of tickets on sale, corresponds to the capacity of both stages. Furthermore, your ticket grants you access to an all-day-long unique culinary experience and to the TEDxAthens Party, at the end of the Conference.
As always, seating in both stages as well as all parallel activities, is based on the concepts of "free seating" and "first come, first served" for everyone. Participants cannot reserve or withhold seats at any time during the Conference.
Participation in specific activities/workshops, which have limited number of seats available, will require pre-registration. Prior to the Conference day, related updates and notifications for pre-registration will be sent either via e-mail or social media posts, to all ticket holders at that time. Keep in mind that if you delay your ticket purchase, you may not have the chance to book your seat in any of the available workshops. Expect communication of updates and notifications to start right after Easter (Sunday 16/4).
